CoD Ray Gun Mk.2 (VRCHAT PREFAB) [Version 1.01]
BreadBreadBreadBre--
NO NOT THIS TIME! No cultic bananabread taidums.
=========================
A Replica of the Call of Duty Ray Gun. This futuristic pistol carries 20 Shots, but where you get it is always a mystery. Probably a box you paid some points for-- that's not really important, it's more when you get the gun, as it could mean the difference between you surviving and not.
This little gun may be a replica, but it's packed with sounds, lights, and a working ammo system.
(We are not responsible for exposure to radiation or battery leakage while using this replica, please do not aim at Taidums, who knows what might happen if you hit one with it.)
Page Update: Change Name from Blast-O-Matic Ray Gun to CoD Ray Gun Mk.2 Added an extra item to show how the battery holster is set up. Video Demo Added
===================================================
Like always: A ReadMe for directions and instructions, so you know what you're getting.
This Vrchat prefab is modeled, setup, including lights and Particles, by me: AbyssalFenge.
Not the sound, but it didn't feel right to not include it in. It really put everything together.
This is made to be used wih VRLabs 3.0 Avatar Manager.
==============================
SETUP & README
1. Place Prefab into your Avatar.
2. Merge the included FX with your Avatar's FX.
3. Unpack the Prefab item and remove:
-HandRaygun
-BatteryHip
-HipRaygun
-BatteryHolster
4. Place Hand Raygun on your Right Hand and line it up.(If you want to put it in your left hand instead, you'll need to change the fx transition state from "rightgesture=1" to "leftgesture=1" to switch it from right to left hand)
5. Place BatteryHip and HipRaygun onto your avatar's hip and make it accessible. (or any place you would be comfortable picking up the raygun and battery cell from.
6. Place BatteryHolster onto the base of your avatar. Do not move anything from it. If you need to increase the range of the battery, increase stretch from the 20 to more than that.
7.Make sure that your syncedparameter for "RayAmmo" = 1 Otherwise, you'll start with 0 ammo and need to do a reload immediately.
Follow how it is in the included synced parameter.

6. Place the HandRaygun onto your avatar's Right Hand.
7. Fine tune the direction and the location of the raygun to fit your hand.
8. Do NOT Hide the prefab (fsr, it doesn't come back on despite it being driven by an animation)

How to use:
This uses both a menu and contacts to do things.
Either of these things moves the gun from hip/holster. This is also used to reload if you're on desktop.
Grip "Fingerguns" and putting your right hand near the gun on your holster will move the gun from your holster to your hand.
"Open hand" and putting your hand by your holster while the gun is in your hand will reholster it.
After the Gun is in your hand, you can fire it with "Fist"
From here, you have 20 shots, which is shown on the dial's fullness meter from green to red.
After 20 shots, and trying to take a 21st shot, the cartridge will immediately eject and open. You can refill it by grabbing the battery on your hip and moving it to the gun. This can be done as well from the menu if on Desktop.
Alternatively, you can also reload your gun manually if you're on VR.
Grip the Front of the gun to empty the battery out.
Insert the Battery by bringing it to the gun.
Grab the front of the gun again to bring it up once more.
=============================
You get: A working, firing ray gun that's relatively easy to set up.
