Taidum 2.0 Medieval Roman Armor Top with a Frying Pan (VRCFURY/3.0 AVATAR MANAGER COMPATIBLE)

Taidums, the Fiercest of Warriors, usually with bread in hand, chanting their mysterious spells

"Bread bread bread bread bread bread bread bread bread bread bread bread..."

It echoes through the canyons--through the ravines and over mountains wherever these creatures may trek.

===================================

Taidum, already undefeatable, a name that rings fear in all their foes. (Wait, I don't recall taidums having foes), no matter how you might take one down, it always gets up. That being said... it doesn't mean that Taidums don't get hurt, so that's why we at bananabread (breadstick) industries have made armor. Simple, medieval armor to help keep the Taidums from getting hurt!

This armor includes chestplate, shoulderpads, and a helmet. Simple things to get a Taidum protected from all sorts of bladed and breaded attacks.

Perfect for Taidum RPGs, Taidum TTRPG, Taidum... Renaissance fairs? Taidum Colosseum Deathmatches, Taidum War Combat, Taidum Capture the Bread. Did you need a Tank class? This will (not) make your taidum into a tank class!

(Don't tell them this is mostly aluminum foil and carboard left after we made a bunch of banana bread)

This set comes in two parts:

Helmet.

Armor.

Additionally, we have included a weapon.

A deep pan, which can either be steel or Cast Iron (There's a normal map for the cast iron)

This comes in two parts as well:

Pan.

Lid.

The lid makes a great shield, and when you're done defending, you can cook up a good meal with these (Bonfire not included)

This item is inspired by a random clip of a renaissance fair knight fighting another person with an iron pan instead of a weapon.

=================================

Alright, like usual, here's a ReadMe so you know what you're getting into.

Preferred method of attaching these is in fact VRlabs. I know it doesn't really work too well with quest unless you change the reparenting method, but using avatar manager alone with this is generally really tedious as you will have to reparent all the bones yourself.

Some things to note, first of all:

IF YOU ARE USING THE PREFAB THAT IS IN THE "DESKTOP PREFAB" FOLDER

THE PAN AND LID ARE LINKED TO THE HIPS BY A PARENT CONSTRAINT

These can be changed, by changing the target of the constraint

  1. Change the "source" to whatever you need it to be (hand, head, etc.)
  2. Hit Zero to move the item very close to the item it is tracking.
  3. Uncheck Lock and move your item in the scene so it's where you want it to be.
  4. Re-check Lock and hit activate for good measure (it shouldn't move, but if it does you may need to hit the "is active" button instead.)

The toggle animations are made so they work with the constraint.

IF YOU ARE USING THE STANDARD PREFAB IN THE MAIN FOLDER

The Standard Prefab that's in the main folder does not have the pan linked to anything, it just has it removed.

If you don't want to use the parameters and things like that for the pan and lid, remove them in the Ex Menu and layers.

IF YOU PLAN ON NOT USING VRCFURY AND SETTING IT UP WITH AVATAR 3.0 MANAGER

Remove the "Missing Script" that is in the prefab, as that is just VRCFury.

Okay-Okay? Let's get started with setup.

==========================

Vrcfury Setup:

  1. Download VrcFury.
  2. Take either Prefab and place it onto your base Taidum
  3. Upload.Something I did also notice when setting up stuff in VrcFury
  4. Do NOT toggle it off before you upload it, it breaks the toggle.

Vrlabs 3.0 Avatar Manager.

  1. Download the Avatar Manager (If you're using VRC-CC, then it'll be in the VRC-CC package update/addons thing.)
  2. Place the Prefab onto your Avatar.
  3. Remove the "Missing Script" (Or vrcfury prefab script, if you have it but don't want to use it)
  4. Unpack Prefab.
  5. Go into the armature for the armor and pair ALL the bones with their respective place on the taidum.5.5 (If you have the Pan and Lid Prefab, then you might as well put them in the spot you want and make the toggles for them)
  6. Merge your FXs. Make the toggles and stuff synced and saved. (Pan and Lid is unnecessary unless you have it on the prefab)
  7. Copy the Ex.Menus and Ex.Parameters that are in the folder.
  8. Upload.
